I have about a softball sized scratch in my fairing from dragging on the pavement. not only do i need to smooth it out, but i have to add a little bit of material as well. Has anyone used JB weld for this type of repair? This is my first time doing a project of this sort, so any suggestions on products and technique would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

How deep is the scratch? I would assume it's not almost through the panel.

There is a lot of good information on that page. The only thing I didn't see is reinforcement of the cracks or deep gashes. But I only skimmed it.

On our cars and trucks we do bodywork on if it's a FG panel it will always get some fiberglass reinforcement from the back, if not most of the time the bondo will crackout and show flaws in the paint.
