When I bought my bike it was dropped and the right/brake side foot peg was broken. So I ordered an OEM replacement.

Well while I was at the MSF Experienced Rider Course I dropped my bike for the first time, and sure enough, broke the same peg I just replace. It broke in the same place the old one did.

The instructors advised me to get forged-aluminum foot pegs instead of the OEM cast aluminum ones, but I'm having trouble finding a decent set. Seem that's a pig weak point on these bikes

OEM for the right foot peg alone is about $52 without shipping/taxes, I've found some after market ones but I'm worried about fitment.

And no, I don't want to buy a rear set.

Suggestion for replacement pegs?

get the cheapy versions of the prolites. Think they were $22/pair when I bought some 6 months ago.
No use spending $60 on $.40 worth of cheap stamped pot alloy.
