Hello,
I have an '08 R6S and for awhile I noticed sometimes when I go into 5th gear, I go into neutral and I have to fix it. maybe from throttling and shifting too fast or something but it's not normal, I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. It's always unexpected and when it happens it revs really loud, I wonder what people are thinking when they're driving next to me lol
Maybe it is getting stuck in between 4th and 5th, I'm not sure. I'm not even sure if that's the gear it always happens in but it seems like it, I don't really pay attention to what gear I'm in.

It's a false neutral. Idk what causes it but lots of bikes get them

ok well it seems like it is happening more and more often
what if it cause me to over rev? the engines not under load so revving it that hard isn't too good for it, right?

is has a rev limiter so you can't really "over" rev it. Just make sure you click all the way into gear, thats what I do with mine, when I don't think about it it'll sometimes click halfway into 5th then jump out
