I just installed my new MJS Gen 2 Header with a Leo Vince MotoGP style slip-on. I ordered a K&N air filter, however, it does not fit properly so I ordered a BMC to replace it. I couldn't wait to take it out for a spin today - only with the full exhaust, stock air filter and stock map. It runs rough until about
4000 RPM, then it is a rocket!! My questions are this:

I know it is recommended to remap, but would it really make that big a difference to run that rough?

Also, I can't afford a Power Commander right now - is there a way to remap the ECM in the meantime?

Any help would be appreciated.
