Hey guys! My names Matt(as you can probably tell by my un) and I'm from Iowa! About to buy my first r6 and I could use some help. I'm new to the bike world and don't really know what to look for in a used bike. Anyways I'm looking into buying an 05 r6 raven. Only problem is that it has 22k miles on it. I'm assuming this is a lot for this type of bike so what should I look for to make sure its in good shape? Bikes got a 520 conversion, front and rear sprocket specialist, exhaust and new frame sliders. The guy selling it is asking $4500 which seems high but I could be wrong. Either way hoping to move the price down closer to $4k. See pics below and tell me what you think! Anything you guys can tell me would be greatly appreciated! Going to check it out in a couple days so it'd be nice to have an idea before I go lol

4500 imo is to high, the guy Probably wants what he paid for in parts out of it If I was you I would check fluids, make sure the oil is good and maintained. If you can get him down to a reasonable price I'd say go for it

Thanks for the reply man! What do you think a fair price would be? I was thinking if it was clean and I feel like the po kept good care of it $4k would be decent. Still too much?

I got an 07 r6s for 4k with 14 thousand miles on it but it's mostly stock. That bike looks like it's in good condition so I'd say go for 4 and see what happens.

It's hard for me looking at 03-05 r6 or r6s and paying what so close to what you would pay for a 3rd gen. If that is the model year you want you could pay closer to 3500 in my area. If you shop and you could find a 3rd gen for around 4500 around here... If this is the model year you want I would say shop for a better price.

For what to look for I always look for evidence of going down and stuff like fluids... If someone maintained it properly it tells you a lot about how well it was taken care of in general.
