Hi all,

I'm Chris, from a bit north of Boston and I picked up a new (leftover) 2007 R6S today. Looking forward to digging into the tech sections around here! In the past I've had a 94(ish) FZR600 and a 96 GSXR750. I took about 5 years off from riding due to work and travel and am pretty pumped to get back into riding.

Everyone's seen a bone stock bike before, but anyhow here are some pics from the first 35 miles. Man, my wrists are sore.

No real mods planned other than a 2B slipon and a fender elminator (if I can find one that retains the plate light), but I think everyone says that at the beginning.

Thanks guys! I paid 7,200, and the dealer threw in 15% off of any accessories I bought, so I picked up the helmet, jacket, framesliders and some other misc stuff, and as soon as I decide on a slip-on, that as well.

It was between this and the 2008 R6 non-S, but I'm 31 and weigh 200lbs, so the S's less-aggressive (well, slightly) ride position was what sold me on the S. I love the styling of both but had my heart set on this one for about a year now and managed to avoid the temptation of going for the '08.
