So I figured I'd introduce myself here.
I just bought a 2001 R6. Not exactly a "new" bike, but new to me. It had some miles on it, but seemed to be well maintained. I have some small plans for it... mostly just appearance stuff as it's plenty fast for me.
This is the first bike I've owned, although I've ridden before. Already have my license and took the MSF class, so no safety speeches necessary. I'm still too timid on it to do anything dangerous... and therefore I'm also extra cautious and aware when riding.
The bike is in the shop at the moment getting a new tire, new chain and sprockets, and a few other minor things that were necessary (someone stripped a bolt during the last tire change... grr). Hopefully it'll be ready in a day or two.
I live about 45 minutes east of Pittsburgh, PA. I'm sure there are some other Pittsburgh people on this forum somewhere.
