I bought an AGV Xr-2 on ebay and it showed up today!!! :nocontrol

I am very please with the helmet. There are no AGV dealers here in Salt Lake so I havent even tried an AGV on!!! I found a great deal on ebay and decided to buy it blind. It was a great price, and a nice helmet so if it didnt fit, no big I could just keep it as a collectors item. It was packaged for shipping very well. The helmet was wrapped in styrofoam tissue paper, then the helmet bag, helmet box, packed in peanuts, and the shipping box.

The helmet fits very well, and it is as comfortable as some Arai models I have tried on. I have been wearing a brand new Shoei RF-1000 which fits well, but is not very comfortable. The liner on the Shoei also looks very cheap, and the AGV is very luxurious. I havent ridden with the AGV yet but I am looking forward to getting off work so I can check it out. it does seem like I will hear more wind noise due to more vents. The Shoei seals up very well and excells in being quiet. This is also great because it keeps the cold Utah air out!

Ill post after I take it for a ride! :cheers

I think so. I wore a extra small HJC before this but when I was trying on new helmets the XS in a shoei wouldn't fit over my head. so I bought a small in this AGV and it fits just like a small in the shoei rf1000. Also it is "taller" than my HJC, it fits further down on my head and covers more of my chin.

what's the general reputation of AGV helmets? i saw this one on ebay and i love the look but i haven't heard much about the company.
AGV has a great rep, they just arent too big in the states. It fits true to size I wear a small in everything else, and this fits great. Its comfortable on the road too. Not as quite as my RF but I like this one a lot more.

Dude, that lid ROCKS!!!! I most definately would love to have one of those myself seeing as how my R6 track bike has #46 plastered all over it and I have a Fiat Yamaha sticker kit on the way for it!! (a little bit of a Rossi fanatic lol) Anyway, sweet lid man, if you got it a good price thats a steal!!

Ive ridden with it for a couple days now, and it needs to wear in better. There are a couple of minor pressure points which will go away as the foam wears in. It feels great on the highway, no shakes or wobbles it cuts through the wind. I was sitting at about 120 for like 3 miles on the free way today and had no issues. It was definately a great buy at 295 shipped!

Hey man do you mind telling me who was the seller for this on ebay, I was wondering if they had any more rossi replicas because I have been looking for some and that is a great price!
