Newbie Here.. Just bought an R6!

Hello everyone! I joined this site a few weeks ago. I have been searching for the right bike for me for a few months now. I've been riding for about 3 years. My first bike was a 1981 Honda CB750C. It was nice to start on, but after 3 years of having an old finnikey bike that hated to start in cold weather and had parts going bad.. I got fed up this season and set out on a mission to find the right sport bike for me. After lotsa searching and driving everyone nuts with questions about every bike known to man, I purchased a bike yesterday. It's a 2005 Yamaha R6 Raven!!! I put 125 miles on it since yesterday!! LOL! It has 6500 miles on it, I bought it for $5000! I'm very happy and very excited to get lotsa miles under my belt on this thing! I will now be on here quite a bit more I think!

Why do people put stainless pipes on black bikes? It really throws off the whole look of the bike.

Same thing with cars. Chrome rims on an all black suv? Can you say brother that doesn't know how to mod a car?

LOL!! I didn't do it.. I bought it that way!!

I was actually just surfing around looking for exhausts for that exact reason! LOL What do you run on yours? I like the sound of the 2 bros, akro, and Leo so far.

Thanks you guys for all the warm welcomes! I'm lookin to do a few mods already. Lookin for a black exhaust, preferably Akro, Leo or 2 bro's and also looking to do the flush mount front turn signals. Where can I get the turn signals? That seems the easiest and cheapest to do first.

very nice. that's a really clean bike. enjoy and welcome to the forum! (given ur choices, i'd go leo. i had one on my 2000. they run better than the others with a stock ecu)
