Found her on craiglist in southern maryland. 2008 R6 Silver, 780 miles, practically brand new, clean, runs smooth. Talked the guy down to $8k after seeing it today. Dont want to push the price any further, he just bought it and he's going overseas due to his military obligation. Sound like a good deal??

hell yea. after extensive research last month at almost every local dealer, i found that no one was going to let one out the door for any less than about 9200 - and that was with the cash in my pocket. that was also at a point when practically nobody had a blue one in stock (just my luck) so i actually ended up paying 9500 since i was getting impatient. i guess the few hundred dollars was worth either not waiting a couple weeks or traveling really far. that's what 9600 in your pocket can do to u :D

edit: dealer invoice, with my taxes, showed that the dealer doesn't make money if they sell the bike for 9000 otd. it basically cost the dealer about 8300 to get the bike in their possession and make it ready to ride + taxes and reg. i was practically online every 5 minutes looking for a deal like the one u've got!

the dealer makes sooo much money on the "assembly Fee" it's just down right ridiculous......Then they make the money on the financing part also....So the part they don't make money on, they make up for it in different ways:fact
