Hey guys, i've been ordering alot of new stuff for my bike lately, but i've come to a stand still. I just ordered a Performance Fabrication Works Mid Pipe, GYTR Slip On and Power Commander. I'm really looking into gaining low-mid range, i don't need to go 160. I've heard alot about different sprockets, but don't really have any idea on what sprockets i should get for my front and rear. Can somebody enlighten me on what size i should go with for the front/rear, and where the best place to get them is. Also what are the positive/negatives about changing out your sprockets? Thanks for the help guys, peace.

A lot of people including myself do the 520 conversion and -1 front +2 rear. This will give you lots more midrange and acceleration, but you will lose some top end which you said you dont care about. This sounds like a great mod for you.

you need 15t front and 47 tooth rear if i remember right. I got sprocket specialties srpockets from Motomummy with a chain for $180. Although, since i found parts411.com i havent seen anyone beat their prices.

You will love it, so far, i have not found myself at 155mph saying "damn, need 5 mph, shouldnt have changed my shit" that just aint gonna happen.

15/50 if you are going -1 +2

I believe the correct ratio 15 on the front and 50 on the back stock for mine was 16/48. Just got my new chain and sprockets today and can't wait to get them on. I've only heard good things about this mod. Got mine at moto-heaven.

Edit: ^Beat me to it lol..

i am almost POSITIVE its not going to be 15/50 for yours man... I dont have time to look but i know i dont run 15/50.

Yes you need a new chain with the correct pitch to it, ie 520, 525, 530 etc.

Here i even looked it up for you.

Stock 06-08 r6
Front 16
Rear 45

therefor, if you went -1+2 it would be a 16tooth front and a 47 tooth rear

check my match if you want for all the 03-05 riders https://www.motomummy.com/store/pages.php?pageid=1

2007 stock is 16/45 so -1/+2 you will be at 15/47.

You will need a new chain if you do the +2 in the rear also. I've heard of people doing just -1 in the front and keeping the stock chain.

I went with -1 +3 .. It def. has some balls now .. top end is still around 150 .. only downfall I've seen is that you need a speedohealer .. def. one of the best upgrades I've done

don't forget to buy a speedohealer after you do this. I didn't have one on my Daytona and I ended up racking 16.8% miles on my odometer, which translated into almost 13,000 miles on the odometer instead of 11,000 that was supposed to be there.
