You need to allow time for them to conform with the rotors.

would the dial setting on the top of the front break lever have anything to do with it?
No, that only adjusts the lever itself, it does nothing else to the rest of the brake system.

yeah the front pads are def still rubbing a little. like with i roll the bike in neutral i can hear them rubbing a tad. is this normal at all?
That could be normal, but without hearing it myself I can't say. With my bike up on stands, when I spin the front wheel it makes a little noise from the brakes, but not much.

Huh. The next option I can think of would be to pull the calipers off and push the pistons back in again and make sure you get them all the way back in and straight and everything. If that doesn't work, someone else will have to do some thinking.
