Actually it is the exact opposite - but you probably knew that and typed it wrong.Depends on your setup. Sprocket changes will adjust that number though. Lower at the front and/or higher at the rear will bring that RPM number down for you. Important thing is figuring out WHY - the optimum RPM for what? The track, drag racing, wheelies, street riding, fuel economy?
When it comes to RPMs, my general rule of thumb is, the more the merrier!
