I just painted my stock exhaust black yesterday, used heat-resistant engine paint. It turned out great but I was wondering if there's some sort of clear coat I can put over it to make it more durable/scratch resistant. I used 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of low gloss black engine paint.

This is just to hold me over until I can get a full exhaust. $20 at autozone was a little more affordable to me right now than buying the full system

There is High Temp. Clear spray available. I think Dupli-color makes some sold at auto part stores.

did u get ur heat resistant paint from auto zone places? and how many layers did u repaint on it?
