Right now I have a Cortech textile jacket and I absolutely love it. The padding isn't obtrusive, the vents work fantastic and it's very comfortable.

I'd like to get some pants to go along with it, because riding with a proper upper makes me realize just how exposed my legs are. I'd like to get some pants with the same venting characteristics as my jacket, but I'm concerned about heat. A lot of the riding I'll be doing will be in 90-100* weather, so I really want to make sure that I get something that'll be comfortable without turning my lower body into a sauna.

I've seen a lot of the "reinforced denim" pants for decent prices, but I really want padding as well. Any recommendations would be awesome.

Friendly bump.

I went out and about today to a couple of different shops and tried on the JR Ballistic 5.0's, and they're (imo, of course) not particularly comfortable. They feel like you're wearing a snowsuit, and there really isn't much venting to speak of.

So I'm still on the hunt for good armored, vented summertime riding pants.
