On my 03 I had the rearsets and passenger pegs powdercoated black. Now I have an 07 and I want to do the same. My question is this, has anyone left everything assembled (off the bike of course) and had powdercoat done? Or is it smart to disassemble it all (pegs, mounts, springs, etc...) My 03 I took everything apart and I'm willing to do it again, just didn't know if it was necessary or not. Thanks!!

I think you do. I dont have the same bike(I got a 07 R6s) but if the pegs have a spring like mine wich I assume they do, you defitnetly need to dissasemble them completly. The powder coat will "glue" the peg and if you pull the peg up you will end up cracking the finish. I dont know if I made sense lol
