Is it even possible? I have been trying it ever since I got the damn bike but the wheel just does not want to come off the ground. I thought I was doing it wrong... I hopped on my buddy's 02 r6 and it would just come up like a breeze so what gives? anything I can do to make it come up on the 06?

Not trying to knock you but its all in your technique... Once you get it, its simple... The clutch is much better on them though, it does take a little extra to power up the stock 06+.

I have an 07, pretty much the same as the 06. Bring your R's to about 7-8 where your powerband is, chop the throttle then bring it back and the front should pop up. If you are a larger rider, you may need to sit farther back. The engine for the 06+ sits farther forward then the past models. But NVK is right, once you get comfortable, clutching it is WAY easier, and much more predictable. Just make sure you take it slow and do a little at a time, power wheelies can come up extremely fast, another reason clutching is better. Keep us posted on your progress, or any other Questions.
