Just got my protons today. I'm pretty sure I've hooked the wires up correctly, however they blink even when the turn signal is NOT initiated on the dash! No running light, they just keep blinking regardless of whether or not I've flipped the turn signal on the dash.

Any ideas?

I don't have any protons, but I have the rizoma turnsignals. Anyways, if I remember I think the brown is the one that will activate the signal. So try the orange or yellow on that wire. And the red may be constant power, so attach that to the blue, which will be your remote wire and will keep it as running lights. Not sure what is on the other, but I think it was orange to activate the signal. Try that. Or if you have a test light you may be able to tell right away. GL

On the '08, the OEM wires are as follows:

Black-ground
Blue-running light
greeen/brown (depending on what side of the bike)- turn signal.

Hook the red to the blue wire. Attach the orange to the brown or green wire. That will give you running lights, and turn signals.

I don't have my instructions anymore for my Protons, but I remember blue on the bike was for the running lights( both sides little different). I cut the OEM connector off the stock blinkers and reused them on the Proton or did you do that? Why do you still have the plastics on? Is that silicone around the blinker opening too? On the bike, I don't believe the black was ground, kinda weird. Look up the wiring schematics with the service manual.
