This sounds like a stupid question. I just drained the oil and removed the crush washer from the bolt. The new one is about three times as thick as the old one. I know it is a crush washer, but it looks to thick. Does it matter? Just though I would ask, this wouldn't be the first time I got the wrong part from a dealership.
Thanks,
Todd

Not to sure but I would say if the bolt still has enough thread to go in to the oil pan pretty deep your good to go.

It's most likely the right one, they are a fair bit thicker when new. As long as it fits properly diameter wise it should be all good. After you re-install the drain bolt and tighten it up properly, add new oil, clean it up, run the engine, and check for leaks.
