Hey all,

I wanted to ask a question on the difference between the 08 R6 Wheels vs. the 07, I know the wheels are the same but I thought I read somewhere that the 08 rotors were thicker than the 07. This was one of the many upgrades done to the 08, is this true ? If so has anyone used 07 wheels on thier 08/09 with out any issues ??

Thanks,

Forget it everyone, I found the answer... FYI

"The blue screamer (R6) is kept in check by wider 310mm rotors (up 0.5mm) that get clamped down by a pair of Sumitomo four-piston monobloc calipers. The thicker front discs help dissipate heat, combat warping and increase rotor longevity. "

I still want to know how those of you using 06/07 wheels on your 08/09 R6 at the track are making out..

They will work fine either way...no issues. I had the same question before when I got my 08 and have a spare set of wheels off my 06.
