I'm going to order to crash bungs for my new 08 R6 from R&G and on their website they list both upper/front and lower/rear crash bungs. Is it worth getting both? I'm not sure I've ever seen people with both so I was wondering if it's a matter of choice or something.. Was really hoping someone could give me a little guidance as I'm rather new to this .

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I think I'll go for both. Might as well get Bar end protectors as well just to get the complete set

Wasup daze... Im using both. The main reason for the lower crash bungs is to protect your engine casings... thats why I got a set. I have to warn you tho... If your tall they can get in your way... esp if you dnt have aftermarket rearsets fitted. If you have an 06-07 r6 you can get actual R&G engine casing crash protectors which are far more nicer. they just dont fit on the 08 because the fairings get in the way.

I've got the 08 so not I'll have to do with both bungs.

When you say tall, how tall? I'm about 5' 10" (178cm), not very tall really. Average I say!

You know on your frame theres a big hole with a bolt on either side near the rearsets are... Thats where they go.. so if you have a look... yr toes are basically just under it, and they stick out quite far. so just have a look and imagine how they would be. The thing is you would get used to it being there.. I think its worth it if you wanna protect your engine. Heres a pic of it where it would go. sticks out about 3 inches.

Cheers Tick, thanks for the info. I've ordered them both, which I think is especially wise as I don't have fully comprehensive insurance. I've got a graphite R6 so the black doesn't really clash at all.
