anyone did the r1 fork conversion to yr r6? does it have any side effects? do the brake calipers fit properly? thanks a great deal

what year? I asked the same question and I was told not to do it to sixes that are 03 and newer cause of the way the frame is made. Other than that go for it. Do a search for it on the forum here. You will get plenty of info on it

Did a 2000 R1 conversion onto my 2002 Yamaha R6. Pretty much a bolt-on process. You'll need R1 forks, R1 top & bottom triple, clip-ons, steering stem and front fairing.

The R1 and R6 brake calipers are interchangable (at least for me) and either should bolt up to the R1 fork conversion.

front fairing? meaning i have to use the r1's head fairing? wat abt the 04 r6? anyone tried fitting any r1 forks on them?
