I recently acquired a 2003 I got it as a track bike and had to swap the frame to make it street legal. Now that it is put back together I am having a charging issue. The bike doesn’t get any charge when at idle or when it is rev’d @5000 rpm. The battery (brand new) just slowly dies. I tested the ohm’s and get .2 from both stator coils. The rectifier plugs look like they are in good shape for a bike of this age. I am stumped on what is causing this. Could I have forgotten to plug something in? Both plugs from stator are plugged in and the rectifier is also plugged in. The next step according to the service manual is to replace the rectifier but after wasting money on a battery I am reluctant to do so. Does anyone have a way to test rectifier or any advice?
