offer him 6,000 and if he doesnt take it tell him 6,200. Because it is private seller I think you could get it for like 6,200 or 6,300. good luck and if you cant get it for less than 6,300 walk away.

Dude, you don't really talk anyone down.

You know what you are willing to pay going into the deal, and if the bike meets with your approval after checking it out. You TELL the person what you want to pay.

If you think you can get him to sell it for $6300, go ahead and tell him. "I will give you $6300." If he doesn't want to sell it for that, then walk away and find another one.

As the weather gets warmer, you will have a harder time finding a screaming deal... but they are still out there.
