hello
my r6 rj11 18k on it just gave up on me
now the no:3 cylinder journal has minor damage to it and the crank/rod is damaged to
i managed to find the rod by cannot find the crankshaft for the rj11/rj13 model
i found online a 04 /rj03 model looks similar but i have moderate knowledge of the motorcycle engine
the question is this .has someone tryed or know if the older model crankshaft fit to newer model like (from 03-04 to 06-07)
i googled it to no avail my last chance is here or to buy it and take a chance (300usd):hump

no other year.. need 06-current "r" model (3rd generation r6). $200-300 is not uncommon for a GOOD used 3rd gen crank. I have personally sold 2 in the past 5-6 years for $175 each. Often, i see them on ebay with rods and pistons included. which would be kind of handy, as you would save a few $ on the rod bearings, but may as well replace all if rebuilding.

FWIW: 10% over dealer cost is about $410 , if you have a buddy with a shop discount, just buy new if you can't find a good used one.
