I just changed my brake lines out with steel braided 1s. I followed YouTube videos and write ups on bleeding the brakes. Fronts came out phenomenal but the rear feels spongy. No issues stopping but i thinking i should have more firmness in my rear brake. Anyone experience this as well? Any advice you all would give?

I remember throwing the brake return spring for a R1 on my R6 back in the day when I swapped to Driven rearsets. There was no stock return spring for the R6 and every time I hit the brake, it always felt mushy. The return spring from the R1 helped a lot as the lever didn't feel like it wanted to just stay down any more. Used it for years without rupturing the rubber boot for the brakes on the R6 (it was on the bike for 5 years).

That sounds like my issue right there. I thank you for your input. Could you post a picture if you still have 1? I may do this as well.

Sorry for the late reply. I just checked back into the forums. I don't have a picture, but the return spring part you're looking for is Dby-acc56-23-52. It's on Amazon for 11 bucks or ebay for 12.50 at the time of writing.
