I know this is a noob question, but I had my first track day this weekend and I ran into an issue. Removed rear wheel to change rear tire on my 06 r6 and the rear spool stand was blocking my axle bolt. Have brand new chain so there isn't much slack to pull it back, so it was a pain to get axle out and in. I know I'm either missing a step or doing something completely wrong. Both stands are trackside brand. Any tips?

I have T - Rex stands and the axle bolt would hit the fork on the stand. I just trimmed the corner of the fork and no longer have any problems.

There was another recent thread about this. Basically the spool mounts sit really close to the axle and some stands have really deep V's to catch the spools. So when you have the axle near the front of the travel, you can't get it past the top of the V on the stand.

It was news to me being new to the R6 world, and not something I noticed since I put a new chain/sprockets on before ever riding the R6.

People are having the same problem with PitBull stands here: http://www.r6-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=310698

Seems to be a design flaw in the bike.

By 'people' you meant just that one person. Everyone else in that thread said they had never seen nor heard of that happening before. OP called Pit-Bull and they took care of the problem. Let's see what Trackside says when OP of this thread calls them...
