Hi guys,

I just wanted to get some opinion, my original brake lever from a 2003 Yamaha R6 broke. To get OEM I will wait weeks. I found an alternative that is made from the same material (alloy) as OEM and looks identically the same. Price is also attractive.

Should I proceed with the aftermarket one?

Might not be the answer you wanted, but have you considered other than alloy/oem?
Got similar clutch/brake levers as the pic below and I absolutely love them.

I have one like that. What they don't say is the turn-dial is plastic. I also had to shave back the trigger on my brake switch a tad. Otherwise I'd be braking a smidge before the tail lit-up; and I want to give people all the warning possible.

Tried to fit my OEM turn-dial and that's a no-go. It's a safety item; I'd much prefer the alloy turn dial, but have been using the plastic for a couple of years; no issues.
