The bike I just bought has a bent right clip on. The throttle won't twist back closed quickly whenever I let go of it. I'm trying to determine whether I need to replace the throttle assembly along with the clip on or not.

I pulled off the bar end, unscrewed the two screws that go into the kill switch hand control, and the allen bolt on the bottom of it. What else do I need to do to remove it to inspect? I don't plan to replace the grips, so I really don't want to cut them.

Checked the throttle cable out?
Its not that, because whenever i remove the two screws that hold the kill switch cover together, the throttle will close back quickly. I took a dremel bit to a piece inside where I could see rub marks. Better now, but only a temp fix. Didn't shave much off, probably a 1mm.

Would still like to get it off.

Not sure what you are having trouble with. Pics would help us help you. Once you have the switch housing unscrewed, it splits in half. remove the cables from the throttle tube, and slide it off the bar.
