Alright I split the crank case and im going to get new rod bearings. Each rod bearing I took off has a color(number) on its side. So should I buy the same colors that are shown on the rod bearings ?

Help! Thank you

you could if the area is not going to be machined/or refinished or has pronounced wear.
Obviously precise measurements are required. Make sure you get new hardware for the rods

Is it this simple or do I have to do a formula?
do you have a manual? it's mega important as you are going to need a LOT of information (torque settings, plastigague clearances as the guys above stated, etc).
if you don't have a manual, stop. Get one. proceed :)

yes, the numbers on the case and crank and rods correspond to bearing colors. ALso.. if you have a 06-07 you should be going one color smaller..
