I wouldn't bother keeping the interval that short. If you're running 300V, then that's an entirely different can of subjective worms. 300V doesn't have the detergents used in oil for road bikes. Granted you'll make more power on it, but it's not exactly meant for a street application.
I always changed my oil at 3k miles, but you can follow the service intervals listed in your manual (4k) without running into any problems.
