Well as some of you know I layed my bike down not to long ago. When I did the shifter was knocked in making it impossible to shift up. I got home and using a screw driver and a little rubber handlegently pryed it out.

The problem is now the shifter sticks as in it wont budge. Sometime I can shift into 2nd and other times it just wont move. I also noticed that its not a smooth motion anymore and the shifter doesnt reset after a shift(it just stays down/up.

Any Help?

Try taking it to the dealership. Maybe they will have a answer for you. Then go from there.

i would look over all of the linkage really good again (assuming you already have) and see if any of it is bent, iit seems to be delicate to where it don't take much to make it all not function and shift correctly............maybe you can just replace the linkage and shifter?

If it will fit i have one off my 07 R6 you can have for cheap. Shifter and shift rod
