Ive seen the stabilizers that mount to one side of the frame and ones that bolt directly to the top clamp...whats the difference or does it matter?

check out "Suspension Settings" forum for tons of info on dampers. i've seen those side mount ones and they look awkward to say the least. i'ver talked with moto-shop guys and they prefer rotary top-mounted dampers (scotts or gpr) b/c it won't snap off doing wheelies.

no difference mate, both systems work equally well. all about cosmetic preference.

and what R6Rd said... the rotary style will survive a crash better...

SportRider mag had a huge round up last year... I'm sure they still have a link on their site for it.
