So yeah....apparently EVERYTHING but collision, doesnt necessarilly mean EVERYTHING except collision. Which is the point im trying to argue against tomorrow with my insurance company.

Had some ****s try to steal my bike, jammed screwdriver into ignition, messed that up, they came back twice in 3 days (it got worse which is how I know) and now insurance is saying I dont have comprehensive which covers vandalism. Bullshit!! As I said above...EVERYTHING but collision, and last time I checked collision is all on its own, ie: not containing comprehensive.

I attempted multiple times to obtian poilicy coverage options from my insurance prior to insuring the bike this year...never got that. They sent me a pamphlet saying they offer house and auto insurance. Well, I requested again, policies on auto insurance and coverage options...again...same pamphlet. Well thanks morons, that sure filled me in there.

So yeah...im ****ed cause how the hell can I win against insurance company...

completley ragin right now...i need me a punching bag!!

ING is the carrier, Nordic is the broker for hte motorcycles under ING.
Never heard anything about them, I am with State Farm and they have always been really cool to me.

+1 for State Farm.

Not from my experiences. Most seem to offer whatever you want. Ive received quotes that excluded comprehensive.

With that said, I get liability/comp/collision. The only thing I exclude is uninsured motorist and medical. State Farm wont even offer medical coverage for motorcycles from my understanding.
+1 for State Farm

$106 a month for full coverage... 22 years old and in Cali :(

See what happens when you turn 25 :)

I pay less than $300/year for state farm.
Holy shit... I just started driving a bike too, if that will make a difference? You're the second person I've heard that pays that.
I hope so I hit 25 in bout 6 months and I could use a rate reduction

Thats the same group that I have, haven't had any run-ins with em and hopefully I never will. Hope you get everything straightened out soon though!

Yeah, you're going to get screwed on that. If you don't have comprehensive on your policy, they will not cover you for a theft accident. They will still be able to claim that they sent your policy to you, which states, what you have. It will boil down to you basically not having it, regardless of what you say.

Sorry about your bike almost getting stolen, that f'n sucks. Glad that the damage you sustained is all you got, as sucky as it is. Because if it got stolen, without the comprehensive...you'd be ****ed.

Did you finance it? Normally the insurance company sends the policy to the bank to show that you have 'full' coverage on it. If not, the bank will contact you, letting you know. Maybe they can help?

Better think twice about that uninsured motorist. It costs me an extra $1.25 a month and it's saving my ass right now with my Hit-And-Run. I only just added it a month ago, too.
another over here for state farm
id say call state farm, get a quote and cancel ur insurance whether they pay or not cause of your headache with them
sorry to hear that, hope things get worked out.

Thats the thing. I have FIRE / THEFT as well. I told them EVERYTHING but collision and I have all but collision AND comnprehensive apparently. SO they added everythign i wanted, except comprehensive. So they messed up, not me...what i believe anyways.

It would have been better if the bastards took the entire bike, cause from what they're telling me at the moment is i have fire and theft, plus the normal PLPD. I moved into the city and I damn well wanted fire / theft /vandalism on my bike cause i know its gonna happen. And it did on the second night in the apartment!! I figured ALL BUT COLLISION WOULD COVER ALL BUT COLLISION.And since I havent even gotten my policy mailed ot me yet, how was I to know that I wasnt covered for comprehensive???? Was I to phone back and double and triple check that they did things correctly? Should I assume they cant do their job and gimme what I asked for??

My back up plan is yes, there is a loan on it so technically I do need full coverage, which I dint have cause no collision. So technically, I should always have had FULL COVERAGE! Im hoping thats a loophole if all else fails.

x2 Uninsured and underinsured is one of the most important covgs you can get, and its not too much more like he is saying. when its not your fault, and you get ****ed, you will want the covg.
