GOT MY LICENSE TODAY! :D Can't remember the last time I was this happy about something. I live in RI - it's finally been 30 days since I got my permit so today I got my license and can ride by myself now. After working my first job this morning I went to the DMV, got my license, went back to my house and took it to my second job today - parked it in our motorcycle only parking...next to a Gixer hehe.

Since I'll be commuting to work at least a few days a week now I'm going to need a back pack and was looking for suggestions and tips when it comes to buying one. What do you wear?

Anyway, sorry for the long post - about me just being happy, just thought I'd share the positivity :)

Ride Safe.

Any conventional backpack will do. Avoid a backpack with all those crazy straps though because they will slap the sh*t out of you on the freeway. Also, you may want to avoid messenger bags because sometimes they can shift during a turn which could cause a low side. I use a North Face Yavapai back pack and it had a ton of straps so I cut them all off.

i find the more straps the better. I use my snowboarding back pack and strap around my waist and use the arm straps. Helps keep it in place. If money isnt an object Alpinestars just came out with a sick ass one. Check it if you want. www.alpinestars.com

That a* pack is awesome, but seriously, do any of you guys carry a laptop with you on your bikes? I'd be so down if I crashed, totaled my bike, aaaaanddd my laptop. Personally, my jansport does the job adequately.
