So i just picked up a spare set of wheels so when I go to the track I can use take-offs and stop tearing up my commuting tires. Anyway, I'm due up for a new chain and sprocket this winter(not cuz they look bad, but after 3 years and 25k miles, i think it would just be wise to replace). I'm gonna do a 520 conversion and stick with stock gearing for the street. The new wheels come with a cush drive, so I wanna get a +2 or +3 for track use.

So thats the background, heres the question: If i do the links so that the wheel is all the way back in adjustment for the street, how many teeth can I go up and not have to add links? I always have the option of getting a 2nd chain and making it longer, but if i can save myself the money, i would like to. Thanks.
