I am going home for a week and going to throw the bike in the back of my truck and take it with me. Going from VA to PA. Anyways, I was going to load the bike up Sunday and wont leave till early in the AM on Tuesday. Would it do any harm to strap it down and not unload till Tuesday. I guess my question is, will I do any harm to the front forks leaving them compressed for that long. I could put it in the truck and just loosely connect the straps and tighten them up when I leave in the AM on Tuesday too I guess.

Load it up and put as little load on it as you can. Then don't forget to crank it down before you leave.

And make sure you dont overdo it or the forks will go POP.

You shouldnt leave it compressed for any longer than you need to its really bad for the seals, & it wears more on your springs.

It's not necessarily bad for the seals, as long as it's not overly compressed. There are some fatass riders on there who put tons of load on the forks every time they ride!
