Recently, someone backed into my bike in a small parking lot. Fortunately the bike didn't get knocked over, but the truck did scuff up the tail fairing pretty bad. I'm repainting this winter anyway, but I realized the other day i had no clue on how to take the tail fairing off. So if you guys could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have any advice on the rest of the pieces and painting...thanks

What gen do you have? First gen has two large bolt/screws at the front, on either side of the seat, about 6 bolts on the undertail, and 2 at the top of the tail behind the passenger seat.

take the undertail off (6 or 8 plastic pop rivet thingys) then theres two more plastic thingys under the seat and on more in the rear. i think thats it, it not hard to get off at all.
