I am looking at getting a better tank protector for my bike and came across <a href="http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/Lockhart_Phillips_Carbon_Tank_Guards_Yamaha_YZFR6--602454.html">Carbon Tank Guard</a>

Lockhart Phillips Carbon Tank Guard

Has anyone heard of these, or have one?

I've never heard of them. Most all brands have a carbon fiber look though. I've had bad experiences (sticking problems) with everything but ProGrip.

Get one that isn't carbon fiber. You will be unique! Carbon Fiber is man jewelry. :hehe

I bought a motrax one yesterday. woot 9 dollars instead of 20 just because it isn't carbon fiber. :D
I've heard of those things. It seems like a thurough idea. However, some people just use a traction pad that'll do the same thing.

I found my Progrip on eBay for $6 delivered. Same one sells for $25 at cycle gear. Annoying.

Yeah I like that, I'm just trying to get an idea of what everyone has, I made the mistake of buying the Progrip CF small version :thumbdown

Doesnt protect from my jacket near the top, and I need something larger

I have one just like that which I have used for a year and it is delaminating at the top. Thats characteristic for real carbon fiber tank guards. It looks sweet though. I wouldnt buy anything from kneedraggers by the way.
