Aight, well this bike is turning out to be a bad investment so far. I got the bike a week ago and one thing I noticed is when I test rode it, the tranny and clutch seemed flawless. Well this isnt true, I rode it today in 45 degree weather and after a 10 min ride, at a stop sign, the bike wouldnt come out of 1st gear. I would go into neutral instead. I tried and and tried but only 1st gear and neutral would work. What do u guys have a say about this, and am I scewed money wise, cause Im broke as sin right now. I looked up a ebc clutch kit for 150, so thats not terrible, but is it the clutch or tranny? Any help would be great. what a day. thanks

ya all motorcycles have a weird thing about trannys where you have to be movin somewhat to make em work properly. if movin it back and forth a little doesnt make it change to second gear then your tranny has a problem more then likely. if it was the clutch you wouldnt be able to move as well. it wouldnt afect gear changin if it was a clutch problem.

when your sittin still at a light or somethin like that roll it forward or backwards and then try changin the gears. unlike car trannys they dont have whats called a synchronizer, which syncronizes the gears when you want to change em. a motorcycles just kinda engagesthe gears together. so if they arent movin then sometimes the teeth of the gears will be pointing towards each other and they wont shift. :cheers
