I got my bike serviced the other day and was talking to the mechanic and asked about a TRE chip I was told they don't make one for my bike. Now I have a PCIII installed and it took out some of the lag in the throttle but after talking to him more he began to explain to me that between 1st - 3rd gear the 06 R6 only opens up at 70% throttle after 3rd you get the full response. There has got to be something to get rid of that if this is true. If anyone knows or this sounds familar to them thanks for the help. Like I said I'm not saying this its what i was explained to and I would hate to give up my R6 because of this problem.

that is what i believe to be true as well. under a certain rpm, the fly by wire throttle is not fully open even though it is at it's farthest point on the handlebar. sucks to be us...

the 06+ r6's are dead under about 8,000 rpms and then they kick ass above that.I think this is what ur talking about. Put a filter, full system and drop a tooth on the front and hang on it will be a whole new bike.

i already had plans on getting a Renthal sproket and going 1 tooth down in the front but i was just looking to see if there was a way to get rid of that 70% throttle. its only a computer thats restricting it so i figured there was a way to do it.

nope. from what i was told, u can do things to help it (like ur new sprocket) but not actually fix it.

our bikes dont go WOT unitl 9k. Check your dyno reading if you have one, you'll see fuel:air change, aswell as power due to the bike allowing itself to go WOT. Before that its restricted, **** but cant change it, unless you spend big

thats what sucks about the PC, it cant change too much at low rpms, it even states that in the instructions

wouldnt have a clue, its outta my price range, so havent bothered looking at it, doesnt bother me that much, i dont usually ring the arse out of it in the lower gears anyway. If im in second and need more punch, i put it down a gear. Keep it above 9k
