It all depends on your weight, how you ride, everybody is different! their is no universal formula to setting up suspension on a bike. get the book Total Control and a few buddies and set the whole bike up, specifically for you and how you ride! Maybe you already have?

Ermm... Suspension settings have nothing to do with settings on the steering damper.

Having said that tho, the Ohlins recommended setting is 10clicks from hardest, and softest setting for road.

Personally, I would use 8clicks from hardest for road, and possibly 4 clicks from hardest for track.

Hardest is best, but you have to compromise that with the ability to turn the bike. Best to experiment with different settings to see which you like best. It should be tight, but not so much that it feels like too much effort to turn in.
