YO ladz an ladiez,i`v been chillin 4 a few dayz,tryin 2 sort things out about my stolen bike, :cuss ABSOLUTE MINEFIELD :cuss ,just took a look at the NOS bike and wondered wot the fastest speed u guys have done. mine is 157mph YEA! , A38 near DERBY in the UK. any other speed beasts out there?

Not sure as never figured out correction but I would say somewhere in the 150's. Speedo read 165.

I saw 144 on the speedo on the ride from SF to LA on the 5 freeway, but I went faster, just didn't have time to look down

My speedo on my 2000 R6 showed 160 but I know that it's wrong. Climbed up there pretty fast I thought :mrgreen:

I think I may win, I was racing my buddies 99 R6 I was on my 03, I had the speedo tell me i was doing 171 :jump

honestly it is not even that fun to go real fast. it is the acceleration that is awesome. i would much rather take a 25 mph curve at 50 than go 150 in a straight line.

it just doesnt take much skill to twist the throttle and hold it open forever compared to bombing throught the twisties.

I agree. Don't get me wrong. Blastin down the freeway so that it looks like cars doin 85 are standing still is cool but leaning this bike over and hitting apexes (as close as you can anyways while staying in your lane)and powering out of corners is where its at. I love that!

I was on my buddys GSXR 1000 with my buddies ex-wife on the back and the speedo said 160MPH. On my '02 R6 the speedo said 140MPH

I've done 274 KPH I think that's about 170 MPH which is more than any magazines have posted.How off are these damn speedo's?I know the fastest I ever saw in a mag was 164 MPH and that was a UK mag. ??? :?:

I Hit 170 wit my 02 but all most shot a load when i hit a dip,so now i'll just stick to the twisties------~~~~~ :scared
