My dunlop 214 lasted 7k at 42psi.
Bridgestone S22 about 5k at 36psi.

Anyone know a flatter profile or model tires in 180/55 for touring duty?

Can't go wrong with Pilot Roads, except for how expensive they are.
Budget forced me into a set of ContiMotions last time I changed tires, I got about 6k out of the rear, which isn't great but then a pair of those costs less than one rear Michelin.

Have you used the pilot roads? Mileage?

I used to have them on my FZ-1 back in the day, I was getting 10K out of a rear. This was way back on the Road 1, the current ones I've had friends get 12-15 out of, so they say.

Many of my miles are on cool, cold and/or wet roads, plus wore them down to the threads, but got somewhere North of 20k out of a set of Michelin Pilot Road 4s. Profile starts "pointy", but they eventually wear down into a flatter profile. Not too many long turns on the street, as opposed to race track. Perty grippy.

In 5 months I'm at 11,235. Tire number 3 the bt 023 is now road tested.
