I was wondering about how much a late model R6 consumes on the track. I have a day at big willow coming up but all my other experiences were on smaller bikes and two strokes that sipped gas. I have a 5 gal jug and a full tank at the moment and was wondering if I should grab another 5gal.

Thanks!

I don't think you need any more than that I don't ever burn much more than a tank unless its a open day. At my home track we have 3 classes most of the time and we run any where from 6 to 8, 20 minutes sessions a day for each class now if we have a poor turn out we sometimes combine a & b and on rare occasions all three classes and then we get lots more riding in but with a full tank and 5 gallons you will burn out before you burn that much fuel.

Your gas mileage will go to shit on the late model r6 if you're using the power. I had my gas mileage drop by more than half at the track.

That being said, a full tank of gas and a several gall jug on the side will be enough for a typical track day. At least, it has been in my experience.

I always get my gas light on between 75 and 80 miles at the track and about 90 miles before she runs completely dry.

I always take 7 gallons of gas and a full tank on the bike so I can ride the entire day. Five gallons extra usually does it but having a little extra gas is way better than not having enough when we run the long sessions.
