I tried starting my 02 with a low battery and it didnt have enough juice. I know battery is bad, I put battery back in and had the 1.5 amp charger hooked up to battery while hooked up to bike, didnt work, still not enough juice. When I turn ignition on with the really low battery the relay right beside the positive terminal keeps clicking non stop. Doesnt sound the same as fuel pump priming. Just wondering what that was?

Charge your battery.

Clicking was the ignition relay. Normal to hear when you have a low/dead battery. Charge your battery or replace.

+1 Also, having a trickle charger hooked up is never going to help start a bike. Its purpose is only to keep a battery fully charged.

Or push start it in 2nd gear then go ride around all day. It'll recharge! .
