I need to get a new gas cap and base, and I am looking at getting the vortex one. Does anybody have these? And does anybody know of any good dealers I can get this from. It would help too if they were in the DFW area.

is the bike strictly for racing? i dont think you could lock those caps.

Nope can't lock those caps. But that's ok, it looks pretty sweet.

they do get pretty tight on though.... first time i had it i had a hard time at the gas station opening it.. but i learned the trick to vent it couple of times after a nice ride..

heres some pics... for the camera mount i had to drill 2 holes on the cap.

you can mix match the base and lid colors...

it just so happend that the store only had the silver base and red lid when i got mine.. worked out pretty good.

Cool. I ordered the set a little while ago so it will be about a week. Then I can finally ride again! Stupid stock lock screwed up!

follow the directions and add some lithium grease to the threads.
makes opening the cap much easier.

what is the venting trick?

Yeah, I had a tough time getting it open the first time too, but again read the directions and use a small amount of lithium grease. I have a silver base with the a blue cap on a Blue R6. I need to get some blue bolts though where did you get your red ones from?
