I have had a K&N on every car I own and the quality has always been great. It's oil soaked cotton, I can't really see why there would be that big a difference between the two. Just like you can't really tell the difference, interms of HP, between one slip-on and another.

You will see when you get your K&N for you bike. I am not talking about HP. I am talking about quality of construction and materials used. The rubber molding is cheeply done. They cut corners on the product to save money. For basicly the same price you can get a BMC and the quality is much better. Let me know what you think when you get your filter.

I wasn't necessarily talking about HP. On my '85 5.0, '88 300Z and now my '98 Monte Carlo Z34 the filters have been well builtand didn't seem to be cheaply made. I don't know has their quality gone down that much in the one and a half years since I bought one, I hope not.

I don't know about any other of their products. I just know that I am not pleased with the quality of my K&N. I have seen the BMC and the quality is better. You will see when you get it. For as much as it cost it is not up to par.
