I'm not very sure about that bracket on the "street version" (on the right side). It looks like if you went down a little too hard it might break off and hit the side of the motor very hard. It seems like you could be worse off than without it.

In all actuallity---worst case scenario--- the bike is only falling about three feet. The sliding is what messes everything up. I have the bracket on the side, and I went down on the right. It didn't do anything except what it was made to do, protect the bike. I only had a scrape on the fairing, and a little touch-up paint fixed that. You need a new frame slider after you go down, but that's a given.
So it doesn't matter if you go down hard or not--well if you went off a cliff, then it would matter, but then you would also have a lot more to worry about--. If your bike just fell off of the kickstand, it would have a bigger 'impact' than if you were leaned over in a turn and the bike only fell a foot or so. That is where the whole 'slider' part comes into play.
Trust me, you would be much worse off without it, than with it.

Intuitive doesn't show a picture of their "street" slider. Exactly how minor is the trimming that is required.
Unless they are tougher, I think I'd rather go with the Motivation sliders which are supposed to require no trimming.
I saw the brackets for the LP carbon look sliders on e-bay. They do not look very sturdy in comparison.

I would prefer a steel bracket. Sure it's heavier-but also tougher, and I'm not racing.

The Intuitive slider requires no trimming, as long as you get the ones that say so. They have a steel bracket, too.

The LP sliders are pieces of s#&*!!! They should say, "For novelty use only" on them. :hammer
