What exhaust goes with what bike

Suzuki = Yosh
Yamaha = Graves
Honda = (Fill in the blank)
Kawasaki = (fill in the blank)

What I mean is that when you hear about an exhaust what bike usually pops in your head.

Suzuki = Yosh
Yamaha = Graves
Honda = Jardine
Kawasaki = Muzzy
And the only reason why is team sponsorship, THATS IT!
The Suzuki crowd going with Yosh is the most loyal, bar none. Every GD Suzuki that I see has a Yosh on it. How boring. Talk about the "me too crowd." Don't get me wrong, it's a good pipe. It's very well made for the price. But for everyone to have the same pipe?!! It's like a right of passage to get into the club. Take a look around and see if I'm not right.
My Yamaha = Jardine and sounds it awesome
Kawasaki = Muzzy

kinda like how you thought u were the cool guy b/c u had K-Swiss kicks and then everybody and their mom got them....

i wanted to get a yosh until i realized how many people had it. it's like those ricers with the annoying muffler. it was cool until juan had to spoil for everybody by putting it on his POS 89 honda civic with the rusted rims. now-a-days the kids only think cars are cool if they have a riceburning exhaust. they don't know what turbocharged is or the difference between a 4cyl and a v8. ricers are destroying our children!!!! i put a 16" glasspack on my 87 pontiac fiero b/c i knew NO ONE had a deep shitty sounds like mine!!!!! :cuss

:hammer

that was my ranting tangent for the night. :drink
like hammy said, Both my friends bought gixxers the begining of the summer and the next day i saw them they had a yosh pipe. I totaly wanted to be different and be noticed when i ride with them. so i got hindle High mount. I get the feeling when we ride my bike stands oult the most.
Wanted to be different, so I got the Blue Flame high Mount in Carbon Fiber. You don't see many Blue Flames around Dallas
Don't get me wrong, I'm not Flaming Yosh here, it's a good pipe. I'm only pointing out how loyal the Suzuki cult folllowing is. :love Funny rant, Mahie :laugh My buddies have tried getting me to get into the "too fast, too furious" car parts sales. It seems to be a growing trend with motorcycle supply places these days. I'm sure there is money in it, but I could never do it. It's not my scene (much like Mahie) and I have to like what I do. :throwup

i wanted to be different too, so thats why i bought a BF EVO Carbon Hi-Mount from hammy!!!! yay for hammy- he's our ticket to being unique individuals!!!!!!!! :drink
Yep, as Brian said it's all about sponsorship

Honda would have to be Erion or Two Bros for the US but maybe Laser (G Ten Kate use them) for Europe...

Outside the US which is no offence guys - the smallest sportbike market, no one and I mean no one has ever heard of Graves - Yamaha are always seen on race bikes with Akrapovic - except their Superstock championship winning R1's which had Wolf of course.. Or now of course Yamaha and Termignoni are joined at the hip with Rossi and the World Supersport Factory team using them but until last year they were Ducati all the way!

Kawasaki = Muzzy ( even in Europe)

Yoshi - now that's a weird one - even Suzuki have said on the 05 GSXR1000 only Yoshi race pipes should be used and nothing else because they have been part of the whole R&D process and will be balanced to the bike.. They are joined at the hip yet...

Almost every other pipe out performs Yoshi on Suzuki's when tested
In the MCN test which Wolf won, Yoshi came last
Even Yoshi appointed dealers (factory direct) in the UK found better results in GSXR750, 600 and 1000's with other brands..

Now here, I gently and with the greatest respect must disagree with Hammy - but it's just my opinion so no taking sides - but I think Yoshi are a crap pipe. I used to be the UK importer and so can say this with great experience - and I dropped them because they were so poorly made...
we saw swarf and coolant still clining to billets, we saw rust on brand new out of teh box, supposedly all stainless pipes, we saw burned through carbon, we saw loose rivets on 1 out of every 2 (I still have a huge supply for anyone who needs some - free to a good home)

Now this is going back 5 years and I'll be pleased to hear if things have changed but I really think the only reason anyone buys Yosh is coz it goes with Suzuki historically - even though none of the World Championship Suzuki riders use them!

Micron are nice looking exhaust but IMO a lot of poser on the street use them...and I want something different from everyone else...like a termgnoni
I've only been selling Yosh for about 3 years now, so I have no idea what the deal was 5 years ago. I can tell you I have never experienced any of those problems. I was surprised to see that it didn't perform any better than it did in the "Pile O' Pipes" shoot-out. Even their opinion of the pipe, 1st sentence; "A high-quality product from the U.S." I've seen Yosh full systems do just slightly under the Akro on an FZ1 and for a lot less $. I did come across a guy on a forum (a customer sent me the link) and he was selling Yoshimura stuff at crazy low prices. So low in fact, that even I as a dealer couldn't buy them for these prices. Naturally, I asked Yosh what the hell was going on?! How can this guy retail them for less than I can buy them as a dealer?!! It turns out that they were counterfeit! :scared No shit, I couldn't believe it. The sad part was that these guys refused to believe that they were counterfeit (especially the ones that had already bought them). The rep from Yoshimura went to the site and told them so and they still refused to believe it and even argued with him about it! :screwy Just recently, I discovered (through another friend in the business) a huge motorcycle parts "whore house" that is selling some stuff at dealer cost. I was told that they get a kick back check depending on the volume that they sell. I have to tell you that as a dealer thats pretty disheartening. I'm amazed that a company would allow such a thing to go on and have such disregard for their other dealers but it's happening. This is a crazy business indeed.

Yep, there's a lot of counterfeit pipes out there now - coming out of the far east etc - Akrapovic is the most popular followed by Yoshi - obviously the higher cost pipes are best for these guys...

It's very easy to spot the frauds tho as the quality really is crap - oh and mostly on the Akras the stickers are the older design not the new logo.

We had a similar problem with Yoshi - even as the UK importer direct from the factory we could still buy retail from some US dealers for less than we paid trade...
Now see, to me thats just amazing. Here I am thinking I'm smarter than the average bear and someone comes along and blind sides me. I must be nieve in many regards. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though, they do it with handbags, watches, clothing, etc. Why not pipes? I just thought it was a lot of effort to go to faking the boxes, stickers on the boxes, instructions, and all. Now that I think about it, they were doing it to a bike/forum that had twin pipes on it (expensive) so I guess it would be worth while.
Hammy nice AVATAR :boob
All very interesting reading....

I still like my yoshi Ti TRS full exhaust, got it off ebay for 575.00. I thought it was pretty cheap, now it makes me wonder if I bought a counterfiet.
I can tell you that I can't buy that system for that. That doesn't mean it's a fake. Sometimes guys can go out of business or need to unload some inventory that they have money tied up in. I'll bet if you're a company employee or the son of the CEO you can buy them cheaper than a dealer too.
Hammy I wish I was both...well maybe more a son of a CEO..LOL All I can say is the packaging and construction seem to be legit. Then again it's not hard to copy all of that. I would like to think that they were trying to offload their inventory since they are a motorcycle company based in Florida.

Oh yea what happened to my girlfriend that you had as an avatar LOL :hump
